Book an appointment

Good to know

Privacy

For an appointment we need very little: your name and a phone number or email address. We ask for nothing more, and we delete it automatically.

Who is responsible

The business you book with is responsible for your data. Beurt is built and maintained by nealvdv (nealvdv.be), who processes the data on behalf of the business. Please send questions about this page to the business, or to contact@nealvdv.be.

What we keep

For each appointment: the service, the day and time, who with, your name, the phone number and email address you give (at least one of the two), your note if you write one, and the language of the page. Also an irreversible hash of your personal link: we don’t store the link itself.

Why

To put your appointment in the business’s calendar, and to be able to reach you if anything changes. This is carrying out what you yourself ask for (Article 6.1.b GDPR). We use your data for nothing else: no newsletter, no advertising.

What we don’t do

No account, no cookies for visitors, no analytics services, no advertising and no fonts or scripts from other companies. Your display and reading comfort preferences stay in your own browser.

Email

If you give an email address, the business can send you a confirmation with the calendar file, and a message if the appointment is moved or cancelled, and a reminder the day before if the business turns that on. These emails go through Resend, a sending service under a data processing agreement. We never send text messages.

Against abuse

To prevent mass fake bookings, we count attempts per visitor. For this we keep a hash of your IP address, not the address itself, and we discard these counters after seven days.

How long

An appointment, including a cancelled one, is deleted automatically 12 months after the date of the appointment, along with all its data.

Where

The website runs on Vercel and the database on Neon, under a data processing agreement. For both we choose a data centre in Frankfurt, in the European Union.

Your rights

You can cancel your appointment yourself with your personal link. If you want to access, correct or delete your data, ask the business: it can do this in the admin. You can also always lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
